George RR Martin’s Art Book ‘The Rise of The Dragon’ Is Finally Here


game of thrones prequel Dragon House Season 1 came to a shocking end, and it might still be a while before the second season is finally here. So while waiting to see the rest of the Targaryen saga, George RR Martin throws bombshells about his work, whether it’s Winds of Winter or other Game of Thrones spin-off shows. Its most recent announcement revolves around House of The Dragon, and it’s as beautiful as anyone can imagine.

Martin recently presented The Ascension of the Dragon: An Illustration from the History of the Targaryen Dynasty The Ascension of the Dragonvisual history of House Targaryen which consists of 180 amazing new illustrations based on the book fire and blood. A collaboration with the owners of Elio M. Garcia Jr. and Linda AntonssonThe Rise of The Dragon is an art book depicting the rise and fall of the Targaryen dynasty in Westeros.


The official synopsis for the book reads:


“For hundreds of years, the Targaryens sat on the Iron Throne of Westeros as their dragons ruled the skies.
