A Hogwarts Legacy has been spotted with a September 1 release date, hinting at a release date for Avalanche’s upcoming RPG.
Warner Bros. made a point of assuring people that Hogwarts Legacy and Gotham Knights won’t be delayed into 2022, mentioning their release dates in various articles and during investor interviews. While gamers remain skeptical of either game making it this year, more evidence has been found that Hogwarts Legacy is on the right track.
As The Rowling Library reports, Insight Editions is releasing The Art and Making of Hogwarts Legacy in September. The Rowling Library reports that the book will be released on September 1, although Googling its ISBN number indicates it has a September 6 release date. It is said to be written by Jody Revenson, who is known for writing several Harry Potter related books such as “Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore Movie Magic” and “Harry Potter Paper Craft”.
Even with the confusion over an exact date, it looks like the Hogwarts Legacy art book will be released in September. Art books usually track the game’s launch or release a little after the fact, implying that Hogwarts Legacy itself will release in September or earlier. This lines up with what was said by insider AccountNGT, the leaker who had access to Star Wars: Eclipse information prior to its announcement, who said the game would be released in September.
It’s worth bearing in mind that even though Hogwarts Legacy launches in September, the art book could still work from a placeholder date. The art books are also infamous for being delayed after the game launched, so if you’re planning on picking it up, you might be better off expecting it a few months later.
As fans have pointed out, September 1 would be a perfect release date for Hogwarts Legacy and its art book, because that’s actually the date Hogwarts students begin their school year.
