Melbourne Art Book Fair dealers return to the NGV Great Hall in March.
Since 2015, the Melbourne Art Book Fair has brought together a curated selection of art publishers, artists and designers from around the world. A vital link to international fairs in New York, London, Tokyo and Paris, the Melbourne Art Book Fair celebrates Melbourne’s status as one of eleven UNESCO Cities of Literature in the world.
This year’s eighth Melbourne Art Book Fair takes on a new form throughout Melbourne Design Week (17-27 March), with the popular Exhibitor Fair running from Friday 18 March to Sunday March 20 in the main hall of NGV International. .
The more than 70 booths in the Great Hall will include a specialist NGV Design Store booth in collaboration with Printed Matter, the world’s leading non-profit organization dedicated to the dissemination, understanding and appreciation of artists’ books and publications. Also appearing is the Melbourne Art Book Fair Showcase Stand, a rotating space for emerging publishers and short-run publishers to showcase and sell their wares.
Other traders include bookstores such as Books at Manic, Perimeter, Uro Publications and Slow Burn Bookshop; journals including Art Monthly Australasia, Lindsay, Indexing Log, good sports and Skip; major publishers like Bloomsbury, Thames & Hudson; art publishers including Negative Press; and DIY brands like Empty Mind Plaza, Flaneur Punk, Henry St Collective and Saints Press.
Also featured in the Great Hall range is The annotated readeran international exhibition of renowned British contemporary artists Ryan Gander and Jonathan P. Watts.
